Good Morning Britain fans shocked as major presenter is 'missing' from show in shake-up | The Sun

GOOD Morning Britain fans were left stunned as a major presenter appeared "missing" from Thursday's episode.

Viewers took to Twitter in surprise as regular ITV show meteorologist Laura Tobin was absent from her desk.

As Good Morning Britain anchor Kate Garraway made her return alongside Ben Shephard, one fan took to social media to quiz: "Who's the new person doing the weather? #gmb"

A second recognised the host as ITV Wales presenter Ruth Dodsworth, and gushed: "@Ruth_ITV a welcomed surprise seeing you on #GMB this morning 😎."

A third continued: "Ruth this is fabulous to see you on #GMB XX" while one quipped: "Look at you gone all international #GMB 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿."

One then mused: "I was gonna ask who Ruth was.. lol thought someone had mistaken Kate G For Eamonn's Ruthie lol."

Good Morning Britain viewers thrilled as fan favourite guest host returns

Ruth is the weather presenter for ITV Wales.

Her ITV biography states she is a "trained journalist and self-confessed weather-obsessive" who has been on screens for 20 years.

It added: "Ruth's spare time is devoted to her family and a very stubborn Yorkshire Terrier."

Meanwhile, Ruth told GMB how the UK had had the "third warmest autumn on record."

Yet despite her smiles on-screen, Ruth has suffered turmoil in her personal life courtesy of a stalker.

Earlier this year, she told how she was "terrified" about the day her stalker ex husband would be released from prison.

Jonathan Wignall, 55, was caged for three years after subjecting Ruth to nine years of controlling abuse during their 18-year marriage.

Following his release last month, Ruth admits she is now "always looking over my shoulder."
