Hawkeye comes from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), following in the footsteps of four other TV series on streaming service Disney+. The show is about Clint Barton (played by Jeremy Renner) and what he gets up to after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Here’s everything we know so far about the future of Hawkeye.

Will there be another series of Hawkeye?

Hawkeye made its big debut on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 24.

A new episode has been released every week with the final coming out on Wednesday, December 22.

This is fitting as Hawkeye has had a festive twist to it as Clint is trying to get home for Christmas to be with his family.

However, his life as a superhero is getting in the way as his help is required.

Hawkeye finds that his shady past as Ronin continues to catch up with him.

He is ready to enjoy the Christmas holidays when he comes across archer Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfield) who starts unraveling a criminal conspiracy.

But with Hawkeye’s help, will Kate be able to bring the culprits to justice and is Clint going to make it in time for the festivities?

While the series has gone down well with subscribers, it doesn’t seem like there will be another season.

Hawkeye has been listed as a limited mini-series which means the story will come to an end after the five episodes have been released.

So, unfortunately, a season two is probably not going to be announced any time soon.

Disney+ also made WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier limited series as well.

Their endings set up storylines that could potentially be explored in the upcoming films so this could be the case for Hawkeye as well.

Despite Hawkeye coming to an end, a spin-off series is on the way to take its place.

The series will be entitled Echo, based on the titular character who also goes by the name of Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox).

The spin-off was officially announced on November 12 and has been in production since March 2021.

Leading as the show’s head writer is Marion Dayre who worked as the executive story editor and script coordinator on Better Call Saul.

Maya was first introduced in the second episode of Hawkeye.

She is the niece of Wilson Fisk who is better known as the crime boss Kingpin.

So fans should expect to find out more about the famous comic book criminal as well as Echo herself.

Hawkeye is available to watch on Disney+.
