Hollyoaks hunk Stephen Beard looks worlds away from bad boy Archie after quitting acting for HUGE career change | The Sun

HOLLYOAKS hunk Stephen Beard looks a far cry from his soapstar days after giving up fame for a very different career path.

The actor became a firm favourite on the soap when he joined as cheeky ladies' man Archie Carpenter in 2008.

The character was involved in some huge storylines, including drug addiction and being kidnapped by gangsters,  throughout his two years on the soap.

Viewers last saw Archie on screen in 2010 when the character exited after falling out with his friends due to his continuing drug habit.

But since leaving the soap, Stephen quit acting to focus on becoming a surveyor and the director of a global data centre.

The ex soap actor is now one of the heads of a hugely successful company and has advised on over a billion dollars’ worth of data centre transactions. He also works in real estate and general investment.

It’s thought that Stephen, who now sports a quiffed up haircut and stubble, is also a dad of one.

Before joining Hollyoaks, Stephen starred in MTV reality series Living on the Edge.

The reality show, which aired in 2007/2008, followed the lives of rich teenagers who lived in a wealthy village in Cheshire, UK. The show ran for two series before it was later axed.
