Hollyoaks’ John Paul’s new love interest, collapse horror and hot new arrival

Hollyoaks fans can expect plenty of drama next week as a hot newcomer arrives in the village and John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) makes a shock discovery at school.

There’s hope of a new romance for John Paul in upcoming scenes after a night with his admirer, Luis, but an accusation reveals the shocking truth that makes John Paul view the night before differently.

Avoiding calls from Luis, John Paul commits to sorting his life out including his issues with alcohol.

Later, Luis exposes the truth to Olivia Bradshaw (Emily Burnett) and, left alone with his own thoughts, John Paul starts to spiral.

As he spends time with his son Matthew Jesus, John Paul struggles to hide his alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

Struggling with his grief, DeMarcus Westwood (Tomi Ade) distances himself from the Devereauxs, but a surprise from dad Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) might be exactly what he needs.

Felix tries to bond with DeMarcus but an admission that was meant to be heartfelt makes DeMarcus feel like he has something to prove.

After he confides in Leah Barnes (Ela-May Demircan), she offers to help him and they decide to make a statement by breaking into the school.

Whilst at the school, DeMarcus and Leah find alcohol in the caretakers closet and decide to have some fun.

Later, John Paul gets a shock to the system as Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) mentions an alarm going off at the school.

When John Paul convinces Prince to let him check it out, he uncovers a frightening scene.

Later, labelled as "the hero of the day", John Paul watches as someone else gets the blame for his mistake.

Elsewhere in the village, Saul Reeves (Chris Charles) finds out that he’s been demoted to police officer following his rule-breaking approach to Toby Faroe's case.

Grace Black (Tamara Wall) is far from pleased when Saul turns up to her traffic light party in his new uniform.

She admits to Martine Deveraux (Kellé Bryan) that she’s worried about being with Saul now he’s a police officer and Saul gets some friendly advice from his replacement, Zoe (Garcia Brown).

Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm
