How Jennie McAlpine kept pregnancy secret for six months while filming Coronation Street | The Sun

CORONATION Street star Jennie McAlpine has revealed she's six months pregnant with her third child.

The actress, 38, is expecting a baby with her husband Chris Farr.

But the actress appears to have kept her pregnancy under wraps using a series of clever tricks on set.

The star has been rocking plenty of fashionable winter garments on the cobbles and is often seen wearing oversized jumpers.

The TV star – who plays Fiz Stape on the ITV soap -was at the centre of the Christmas episode as she wed mechanic boyfriend Tyrone Dobbs.

Filmed some weeks ago, her character's car broke down on the way to the church.

Wearing a blue coat and plenty of layers, Jennie's growing bump was kept undercover.

She then stunned in a white bridal gown as she walked down the aisle, but cleverly hid her stomach with her huge bouquet of flowers.

The star has often been filmed wearing her coat and clever camera angles have been used to only shoot her from the upper half.

In recent months, the Dobbs/Stape family are often seen having conversations at the dinner table.

The star has also been seen standing in front of strategically placed props on set.

In another clip, a Christmas present had been placed on the table in front of her stomach.

While in a different scene, Alan Halsall's character Tyrone can be seen holding a newspaper to cover Jennie's bump.

After months of keeping the happy news a secret, Jennie told OK! magazine: "We're so over the moon.

"The thought of adding to our family mix and chaos was the best Christmas present! I'm really excited for 2023 – it'll be a special one."

The star already has two children Albert, eight, and four-year-old Hilda.

She has played Fiz Brown in the ITV soap since 2001.

Initially only planned to appear in five episodes, Jennie's contract was soon extended after impressing show bosses with her impeccable comic timing.

Fiz Brown has been at the centre of some of the soap's most iconic storylines including Hayley Cropper's death.
