I’m A Celeb's Matt Hancock finally returns to UK amid calls to QUIT as an MP | The Sun

FORMER Health Secretary Matt Hancock finally returned to the UK without his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo after his stint in I'm A Celebrity.

The Suffolk MP has returned back to blighty after being away from his constituency for nearly a month in Australia.

Before entering the jungle, Matt vowed to return to work as an MP as soon as he was eliminated.

His inclusion in the line-up was controversial with many thinking he should not have been allowed to take part as a serving politician.

He left his constituents for nearly a month as he jetted off to Australia on the 1st November and he went onto stay in camp through to the end of the competition.

But Matt flew home as calls intensified for the third place campmate to stand down as a Member of Parliament and move away from politics.

Residents within his constituency have even vowed never to vote for the MP again because of his tenure in the jungle.

Voters in Newmarket, Suffolk, slated his three week TV stint.

Paul Hodgkins, 70, said: “He should be doing what he’s employed to rather than having a jolly in the jungle.

“I voted for Matt. I don't know whether I'd vote for him again but I went off him after the affair with his staff member. He should not have gone to the jungle.”

Matt even extended his stay in Australia for an interview as he left his girlfriend, his former political aide Gina Coladengelo to fly home solo.

The former political aide boarded a flight back to the UK with series winner Jill Scott and her fiancé Shelly Unitt.

This is despite lobbyist making the 10,000 mile trip to greet Matt when he exited the jungle as a shock finalist.
