Kat Von D Has Something Sad In Common With Paris Hilton

Kat Von D is praising Paris Hilton for her courage, revealing that she and the hotel heiress have something sad in common.

The reality star took to Instagram to share her love for Hilton, after the celeb shared deeply personal details about her alleged past traumatic experiences of abuse as a teen. Hilton released the This Is Paris documentary in September 2020 to give fans the truth about her upbringing. One of the bombshell stories to come from the doc was the retelling of Hilton’s time being forced into a Utah boarding school, and details behind the schools alleged abuse, even giving Hilton and others unknown pills.

“I want these places shut down,” said The Simple Life star to People. “I want them to be held accountable. And I want to be a voice for children and now adults everywhere who have had similar experiences.”

A voice for adults she was, as Hilton inspired tattoo artist Kat Von D to reveal she attended the same school and suffered a similar “traumatic” experience.

Kat Von D revealed 'the most traumatic six months' of her life

In a video posted to the reality star’s Instagram, Kat Von D opened up about being “locked up for half a year, without ever seeing the sun” as a teen at the same Utah boarding school that allegedly abused Paris Hilton.

“I spent those 6 traumatic months of my teenage years, only to leave with major PTSD and other traumas due to the unregulated, unethical and abusive protocols of this ‘school’ — and cannot believe this place is STILL OPERATING,” wrote the reality star in her caption.

In the video, Kat Von D thanked Hilton for speaking so honestly. “Watching [Hilton] talk about some of her past trauma going to this school that her parents sent her as a teenager — I don’t like to call them schools because they’re not schools they’re f—king lockdown facilities — it just triggered so much s—t for me because it turns out I went to the same school,” said the LA Ink star.

Kat claimed the boarding school was “the most traumatic six months” of her life, and that she was forced to go after being kidnapped and driven to the school. The reality star noted she was “spared of the sexual abuse and the physical abuse” but did experience the “force-feeding medication” that Hilton had mentioned in her documentary.
