Katie Price's son Harvey called 'the best' by ex stepdad Peter Andre as he praises BBC documentary
PETER Andre called his ex stepson Harvey "the best" as he praised Katie Price's BBC documentary, Harvey and Me.
The moving one-off special aired earlier this week, documenting 42-year-old Katie and 18-year-old Harvey as they prepared for him to move to a residential college and become more independent.
Harvey needs 24/7 care after he was born with a series of disabilities, including ADHD, autism, genetic condition Prader-Willi Syndrome and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness.
Both he and Katie won huge praise from viewers who watched the hour-long doc – with her ex-husband among those to share a reaction.
Peter, 47, showed his unconditional love for his former stepson as he commented on an Instagram post made by The Sun earlier today.
Alongside a snap of Katie kissing Harvey, we'd written: "She's one proud mum! Katie Price says Harvey is going to be a Network Rail train announcer.
"He’s impressed fans with his rail know-how on his BBC documentary with mum earlier this week. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Harvey!
"What did you think of the documentary?"
Peter was among the thousands to react to the post, writing in the comments: "He's the best" alongside two heart emojis.
Peter and Katie first started dating after they met on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2004, when Harvey was two years old.
The pair tied the knot in 2005 and welcomed two children, Princess, now 13, and Junior, now 15, before their split in 2009.
While the ex couple's relationship has been rocky ever since, it has improved in recent years – with Peter even offering to join Katie as she visited Harvey in hospital when he was rushed to intensive care last year.
Peter is now married to GP Emily, while Katie has found love with toyboy Carl Woods.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker isn't the star's only ex to send Harvey their love this week, with her third ex-husband Kieran Hayler also reaching out.
The 33-year-old star took to his Instagram page to share a sweet throwback photo of the teen holding hands with half-siblings Jett, seven, and six-year-old Bunny – Kieran's children with Katie.
He captioned the post at the time: "I love your bond with Jett and Bunny.
"Always been so strong so proud of you @officialmrharveyprice"
Harvey and Me had viewers in tears when it premiered this week, with impressed viewers flocking to social media to heap praise on Katie for being such a devoted mother.
TV presenter Richard Madeley even called for the former glamour model to be on the New Year's Honours list for her services to motherhood.
He said: "We just watched the Katie Price BBC2 doco. That woman should be in the next New Year's Honours list for services to motherhood."
In the doc, Katie shared her heartbreak as she explained that Harvey will smash her house up due to his conditions, with the sound of closing doors one of his biggest triggers.
She also discussed her fears about Harvey being detained in a mental health facility, as well as her concern that he will not be able to cope when she dies.
