Lisa Marie Presley's daughter Riley Keough suffers 'painful' first Christmas without brother Ben after his suicide death

LISA Marie Presley's daughter Riley Keough said she is suffering a "painful" first Christmas without her brother Ben.

Ben tragically died by suicide on July 12 at the age of 27.

The 31-year-old actress opened up about celebrating her first Christmas without her brother in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Friday.

Alongside a close-up selfie of the siblings, Riley wrote in the caption: "Its going to be my first Christmas without my best friend and baby brother.

"Words can’t describe how painful it is."

She then said she was thinking of anyone in a similar situation, writing: "I’m thinking of everyone whose lost someone they love and everyone else whose first Holiday it is with grief and without the person they love.

"And I’m also thinking of all of the beautiful people who can’t be here with us in physical form and sending them my love wherever they may be, not too far away. ❤️"

Ben shot and killed himself at the family’s Calabasas home.

The Sun exclusively revealed a private funeral has taken place for the 27-year-old in July.

An insider told The Sun: "It was an emotional day for everyone, the whole family has been left devastated … Riley in particular is finding it difficult to cope at the moment, they were very close.

"But everyone did their best to come together and celebrate Ben's life and remember how he touched so many hearts.

"It was a struggle for Lisa to find a venue suitable because of the coronavirus outbreak, and it was a very private service for those who really knew Ben."

Both Lisa Marie and Riley have shared photos of Ben on their social media accounts since his passing.

At the end of July, Riley shared a series of videos that documented some memorable moments spent with her beloved brother.

Meanwhile, Lisa Marie, 52, paid tribute to her son on what would have been his 28th birthday in October.

Alongside a throwback snap of Ben donning a birthday hat while sitting in front of a birthday cake with lit up candles, the mourning mother wrote: "My beautiful beautiful angel, I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven.

"My heart and soul went with you."

She continued: "The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day. I will never be the same."

Riley and Ben are the grandchildren of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley.
