Loose Women star Denise Welch has slammed her steamy onscreen kiss with Coronation Street's Michael Le Vell.

The panellist, 64, appeared on Monday's episode of the ITV lunchtime series alongside Ruth Langsford, Judi Love and Kéllé Bryan when a resurfaced clip of her kissing the Kevin Webster actor was played.

Pulling a pained expression as a clip of the steamy snog aired, Judi could be heard laughing as Ruth tried to joke with her co-star.

Ruth said: "That was a good old snogeroo, wasn't it?"

In an unexpected twist, Denise replied: "Actually it wasn't, if truth be told. And I'll tell you [why]."

As Judi continued to laugh, a stunned Ruth replied: "Ooh, that's a story for another day."

Denise didn't elaborate any further on her onscreen kiss with the Kevin Webster star.

The clip was played ahead of a discussion about whether or not it is appropriate for couples to kiss in front of their children, after Kourtney Kardashian's son Reign pleaded with the reality star to stop snogging her new husband Travis Barker in front of him.

The Loose Women panellist played barmaid Natalie Horrocks on Coronation Street from 1997 – 2000.

Her character was introduced as Kevin Webster's mistress with the pair enjoying a number of steamy encounters during her time on the ITV soap.

She left the soap after falling pregnant in real life with her son Louis Healy, who has since become a soap star himself.

In September 2019, the 21-year-old joined rival ITV soap Emmerdale as Sarah Sugden's ex-boyfriend Danny Harrington.

He bowed out from the soap in 2021 after a number of appearances as the character.

Denise's appearance on Monday's Loose Women followed her turning 64 years old over the weekend.

Loose Women airs from 12.30 pm on weekdays on ITV.
