Love Island’s Lucie left sobbing as first boy is brutally dumped in recoupling
Lucie Donlan will be left sobbing in tonight's Love Island episode as the first castmate gets dumped from the villa in an extra-long recoupling special.
TV bosses have decided to give Love Island an extra 10 minutes of airtime because the Islanders' antics are set to be so juicy.
Instead of finishing at its usual time of 10.05pm, the show will continue until 10.15pm before Celebrity Juice comes one.
In this evening's episode, the Islanders are warned that one boy will be axed from the show in the series' first recoupling, which will see the girls choose the guy they want to be in a couple with for the next week.
But sexy surfer Lucie, who is already in a love triangle with Joe Garratt and Tommy Fury, is seen crying with emotion as she sits around the firepit for the big decision.
After a day spent grafting on the girls, the boys are well aware that they must be chosen in the recoupling or face losing their place in the villa.
And Amber confirms the tragic news when she gets a text that reads: "Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling.
"The girls will choose and the boy not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the island. #GetPickedOrGetPacking #BoyBye."
The announcement sends the Islanders into a tailspin, with Lucie well and truly feeling the pressure.
She seeks out Curtis Pritchard, who has already become the Marcel Somerville of the group with his sage advice, and tells him she's still unsure who to pick between Joe and Tommy.
"Do you know what? I'm very torn between both of them because I see really good points in both of them. I don't know what to do," she confides.
But it's not just Joe and Tommy who are at risk of leaving tonight.
Callum MacLeod is currently single but has been trying to crack on with new girl Molly-Mae Hague, who last night was voted to go into the Hideaway with Tommy.
Anton is also staring down the barrel of an easyJet flight back to the UK after his Operation Double-A plan to woo Anna Vakili didn't quite succeed.
He only ended up angering Sherif Lanre, who was coupled up with Anna on the very first day.
Has he done enough to persuade Molly-Mae he's the One for her? Or will she solve Joe's jealousy problems by whisking Tommy Fury out of Lucie's paws and taking him for her own?
And why does Lucie end up in tears about the group's final decision?
