MAFS UK fans accuse Xmas reunion pic of being Photoshopped amid drama

With Married At First Sight UK fans eagerly awaiting the Christmas reunion, E4 have shared a reunion teaser picture, that has perhaps not had the reaction they were expecting.

The official MAFS UK account shared the snap, captioning it: "Santa saw you’ve been very good this year, so he’s packing an extra special present just for you…

"A #MAFSUK Christmas dinner party special, reuniting the nice and naughty cast from series 1 & 2 – just in time for the holidays! Married at First Sight: Christmas Reunion, coming this festive season to E4."

And while fans shared their excitement about the reunion, they also commented on something else they'd noticed in the pic.

Commenting on the teaser, fans noticed that it looked quite Photoshopped in places, with one writing: "They look photoshopped lol."

"Some mad photoshopping going on here [laughing emoji] I think we can tell who didn't want to be in the same room together," added another.

While a third commented: "I have never seen such terrible photoshopping in my life. And WHO is that between Adrian and Zoe?"

The identity of the mysterious woman was soon cleared up when MAFS 2021's Nikita Jasmine commented that it was her, with others adding that they didn't recognise her.

The "Photoshopped" snap comes amidst the continued drama between this year's participants.

One recent revelation came from this series last couple standing, Jenna Robinson and Zoe Clifton, as they talked to OK! about Matt Murray and his behaviour in this series' final episode.

Confirming what other stars had said, that he was made to leave the reunion, Zoe added: "Matt’s behaviour wasn’t okay. I think the next day they said he could stay for his bit and then he had to leave."

Jenna then interjected: "We haven’t spoken to him since."

While Matt won't be appearing in the Christmas special, the special will see Zoe, Jenna, Adrian, Thomas, Chanita, Jordan, Pjay, Duka and Jonathan all reunite.

They will be joined by previous participants Alexis, Amy and Nikita for the festive season.

Discussing the upcoming special, Commissioning Editor Mel Bezalel said: “The latest series of Married at First Sight UK has been a phenomenal success on E4 and All 4; there’s no better way to see out 2022 than a seasonal special with some of our favourite brides and grooms.

"Married at First Sight is such a unique experience, we’re excited to bring two casts together and see what new connections might form across the dinner table and even under the mistletoe."
