Spoilers: Bobby makes a huge confession to Jack in EastEnders after Ian twist

Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) will tonight be taken into the police station for questioning by Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) in EastEnders, after he suddenly confessed ‘it was me’ to Ian (Adam Woodyatt), who was recently brutally attacked and left to die.

Bobby does have form – he twice left Jane to die and was infamously the one who killed his own sister Lucy in a terrible accident that has plagued his life ever since.

But is everything as it seems about his confession? With Ian left in shock and Peter (Dayle Hudson) stunned by the development, does Bobby blame himself because of his OCD (like he did with Kathy’s accident) – or did he really have a hand in walloping Ian?

Perhaps he knows who did do it and is protecting them or he accidentally put someone up to it?

Jack wants to get to the bottom of it and he is surprised when Bobby shares something with him that changes the goalposts of the conversation.

But how will Ian react when he learns what Bobby has divulged?

And is Bobby set to incriminate himself – or lead the police elsewhere to look for who attacked Ian?

The storyline looks set to continue over Christmas, with Ian terrified by numerous threats and the would be killer determined to try and get him again.

This doesn’t sound like Bobby to us – as he is clearly repentant and upset that his dad nearly died.

So just what is the real story?

EastEnders continues on Friday December 11 at 8:35pm on BBC One.
