Adam took to the dance floor with Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones for a routine inspired by the blockbuster hit, Avatar. They performed a Rumba to I See You by Leona Lewis and they were hoping to improve on last week’s scores for their Quickstep. Unfortunately, although the judges offered some praise to the Olympic swimmer, his scores didn’t replicate this and he ended up being at the bottom of the leaderboard on the BBC show. Taking to Twitter, viewers centred their frustration.

Scott wrote on the social media platform: “It didn’t help that Adam was dancing to a terrible song from a terrible film #Strictly.”

Ryan posted: “20/40 that is a low score. Adam could be vulnerable tomorrow night. You need to get voting later to save him.”

“The Rumba was meh but definitely didn’t deserve to be lower than Dan’s Foxtrot,” JustRandomThoughts shared, referring to the mistakes Dan had made in his routine which scored a 21.

Karis stated: “Oh I really didn’t think Adam’s Rumba was that bad,” with Sarah declaring: “Save Peaty #strictly.”

“Agh. The rumba. Me no likey. Could only see the point when I saw #pasha dance it live #Strictly #Strictly2021,” Georgia remarked.
