After a jaw-dropping finale, NBC’s thrilling drama returned to screens for a ninth instalment in October. While Aram (played by Amir Arison) grappled with the decision of rejoining the task force, away from the screens the actor was giving back to the film industry. Viewers then inundated the actor with praise after he took to Instagram and shared an emotional plea.

Amir shared a series of images from his charitable contributions on Instagram and took to the caption to encourage fans to also give back.

He wrote: “Consider giving to @angelightfilms, non-profit where we make short films with kids who have or have had a brain or spinal cord tumour about anything they can imagine.”

The actor shared: “It changed my life, and I became the Director of their creative advisory board this past year.”

Fans then flocked to the comment sections to praise the actor for his charitable contributions to the film industry.

KathieKraft was amazed and wrote: “You are absolutely awesome Amir.”

“Love this. Thanks for supporting these kiddos!” commented Stronglittlesouls.

Flohawaii1 shared: “Very nice initiative, well done,” followed by a number of love heart eyes emojis.

“Congratulations, beautiful attitude,” commented a fourth viewer, Rutinha05.

Amir used his talents to help the young aspiring filmmakers, as well as becoming the Creative Advisory Board Director for Angel Light Films.

In 2018, he directed a documentary titled ‘Tati’ for Tatiana Bernard who was cultivating her talent and creativity with the non-profit organization.

The documentary gave viewers an intimate look at her three-year journey as she underwent treatment for a medulloblastoma brain tumour.

In April, Amir was a guest on The Dr Oz Show, where he opened up about his experience directing Tati.

Speaking about the documentary, the actor explained: “It’s about Tati and her extraordinary imagination, but in many ways, the emotional centre of this story and my experience is her mom, Shevorn.

“She’s a single mum to four girls and she is sort of the centre, in many ways of her community, so many friends and family.

“I don’t know how they welcomed me into their life, into their home, in some of the most intimate moments, the ups and downs.

“I could speak so much on her but if I had to say ultimately what I took away, I left with two new best friends,” he concluded.

When The Blacklist returned to screens, there was a two-year time jump from the shocking events of the season eight finale.

The task force had disbanded and the team had scattered, Amir’s character Aram had left the life of solving crime behind him and started a tech company.

Once the cyber expert for Harold Cooper’s (Harry Lennix) team, Aram grappled with the decision to re-join after an investor came along for his security software company.

Although it would’ve financially secured his future, by episode five the team were back and taking on FBI cases like the old times.

The Blacklist season 9 episode six will air Thursday, December 9 at 8pm EST on NBC in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
