The Chase fans distracted after spotting something VERY strange about contestant as they do double take

THE Chase fans were convinced that Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan's "doppelganger" was a contestant on Wednesday's episode.

ITV presenter Bradley Walsh, 61, was joined by four more hopefuls including contestant Kate, 24 from Anglesey.

The charity project co-ordinator told Bradley that she was a keen bee keeper and in her spare time she helps to look after her neighbours hives.

The contestant managed to answer eight questions correctly in the cashbuilder round.

After banking £8,000 she immediately turned down the higher offer of £32,000 from Darragh Ennis and opted to stick with the amount she had secured in the first round.

However, ITV viewers were gobsmacked at the similarities between contestant Kate and quizmaster Jenny – with some fans asking if The Vixen had a twin sister.

One fan wrote: "Kate looks just like Jenny Ryan, I had to do a double take because I thought The Vixen was on tonight. #TheChase"

Another posted: "Does The Vixen have a twin sister? #TheChase"

A third commented: "Wow Kate looks like Jenny Ryan's doppelganger. #TheChase."

But other viewers were more distracted by Kate's hairstyle and raced to Twitter to comment on her fringe – with some suggesting that she may have cut it herself.

One wrote: "Fringe shrunk in the wash. #TheChase"

Unfortunately, Kate's luck ran out and Darragh caught her meaning her time in the show was over.

Kate was joined by Adam, 39, a performance manager from London, Bernice, 68,a retired teacher from Liverpool and Bob, 56, an aircraft simulation trainer from Market Rasen who all made it back to the final chase with a total prize pot of £16,000.

With 18 spaces to catch the players, Darragh had his work cut out.

But despite executing one push back our of a possible three, the team were caught out by the quizmaster with 20 seconds to spare.

The Chase is on weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
