Tiger King's Carole Baskin snubs I'm A Celebrity in Wales as she signs up for Dancing With The Stars

TIGER King’s Carole Baskin has snubbed I’m a Celebrity after signing up for Dancing With The Stars instead.

The cult figure, 59, turned down the offer of appearing on I’m a Celeb’s 20th series – which will be filmed at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales.

The Sun recently revealed that I’m a Celeb bosses had offered the Tiger King star a big money deal to take part in this year’s series.

They were desperate to have one of the stars of Netflix’s lockdown hit appear on the series and spill the beans on the zoo operator, Joe Exotic.

A TV source said: “Jungle producers have made a formal approach and hope she will do it.”

Carol has been the subject of conspiracy theories over the disappearance of her second husband Don Lewis — who Joe has accused her of killing.

Eccentric Joe is now in jail serving a 22-year term for a plot to kill Carole — CEO of Big Cat Rescue.

Streaming giant Netflix said 64million households globally have watched the documentary series since it came out in March.

It follows big cat owners, breeders and conservationists in the US — with a focus on the feud between Joe and Carole.

However, it was revealed today that the Netflix star has signed up to take part in the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.

This year's star-studded line up also includes Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause, Jesse Metcalfe, Nelly and more, according to People.

Supermodel Tyra Banks will also host the new series – as well as becoming an executive producer for DWTS.

Yesterday, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly teased fans about what to expect from the new series.

The co-hosts, appeared on This Morning and revealed it's going to be "completely different" this year as they refused to shut down rumours Tiger King star Carole Baskin is joining the show.

Ant and Dec excitedly spoke about the upcoming series, which is being filmed in Wales instead of Australia this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

"It's a show that we really look forward to, to go out and spend five weeks in Aus….oh," joked Dec.

"We love I'm A Celebrity.

"The cast changes every year, so it's always a different vibe – you never know what's going to happen.

"This year it's going to be completely different and none of us quite know what it's going to be like.

"I'm very intrigued."
